the Large Oak bug is apparently connected to "PopulationBoundsCheck" being false
When I set PopulationBoundsCheck to true, the bug vanishes and large oaks spawn correctly.
So this is a painful trade-off between jungles and large oaks.
update, now it appears to happen when PopBoundsCheck is TRUE
so, I have no idea.
