Advanced rivers arn`t generating

Open N1T3SLAY3R opened this issue 10 years ago • 3 comments

As far as i`ve read about them it shouldn't be too complicated but the don't seem to work no matter what i do and ive already spent a few hours trying to get them to work.

Below are the main files ive been testing (specifically the normal (biome))

WorldConfig.ini http://pastebin.com/LVjyrUBe

Normal.bc (Biome im focusing on to get the rivers to work) http://pastebin.com/S7zjrSy7

Hill.bc (normal biome nothing special) http://pastebin.com/yi4vUiPs

Works fine for me in my world.

ImprovedRivers works by not using the river biome (it just uses the biome that it is flowing through), so in early builds it wouldn't show up in /tc map. As a remedy, /tc map disables ImprovedRivers, and just uses the river biome in RiverBiome. You have not set a value for the RiverBiome setting, so no rivers will flow on the /tc map-map, but they will flow in your world.

Edit: still investigating why they won't generate on your world.

alright thanks, im really stumped as to why they wont, the last thing that did work was the non advanced (river) biome way which id prefer to upgrade to this way. I am using 2.6.1 on the spigot (dev builds) 1.7.9 server if that makes a difference :/

Yeah, that makes TC sometimes hard to maintain. You never know if there's a bug that only shows up when using certain settings, or if that combination of settings just doesn't make sense at all..
