FPS are lower than default Sodium renderer under RTX 4050 Laptop GPU

So I wanted to check out this mod to push the limits of the game, of course. I installed my favourite modpack: Fabulously Optimized and added NVidium to it. Normal FPS with Sodium are around 400-500 with some dips at 32 chunk render distance. Whenever I switch to NVidium it goes below 100fps and stays there, regardless of settings.

Specs: Intel i5-13420H RTX 4050 Laptop GPU 6GB VRAM 16GB RAM

If any more info needed, tell me.

Could you try a clean install with no other variables, i.e just sodium and just nvidium?

Just tested and the hit isn't as brutal, but I still get about a third of the performance without nvidium (~170fps -> ~65fps). Is it that NVidium requires a lot of VRAM and this is a case of low RAM? This is a notorious issue with my GPU, at only 6GB of VRAM.

6GB of VRAM should be enough. I use a laptop GPU as well and I have never had issue with VRAM running out so IDK. Also Are you playing in a single player or large multiplayer server?

This is all singleplayer with 8GB RAM dedicated to MC. I saw on the other issue that you suspect it's NVidia driver issue and you might be onto something, given I use Linux with Wayland and NVidia support is lackluster.

I started using Nvidium as soon as it's first 1.20 verson came out and I was getting around 400 to 600 FPS on my server, with 32 chunk render distance, but now I am getting just above 230 FPS. So it could be that updates in graphics drivers could have made Nvidium's effectiveness(code, method, rendering? IDK what to call it) worse. I don't exactly know if this is correct, it is just a theory.
