Setting bookmarks=True for hyperref

Can we change to bookmarks = True for hyperref? This always bugged me about the earlier version and I usually set them to true anyway. Why limit the creation of bookmarks?

Thanks for your suggestion. bookmark = true creates several unwanted warnings here. I have followed your suggestion to change it to true and prevent the corresponding warnings using '\WarningFilter{hyperref}{Token not allowed in a PDF string}"
