Language support question

Tell me why, when I try to translate this into Russian, squares appear in the menyoo menu instead of letters in the game? Tried all possible options and am not very good at visual studio. I'm just doing amateur localization.

Because something out of it doesn't support the russian characters, this is it for sure but i don't know what. The menu either the game or something else.
