[bug] When menyoo is running, spawned entities return a handle of 0 near certain interiors

In several locations around the map (there are likely more, these are the only ones I've found so far), all entities spawned (including peds, vehicles, and props) return a handle of 0 when spawned, causing various issues. This only happens when menyoo is loaded, and happens regardless of whether the spooner menu has been opened yet, and happens with the latest version and a default INI. Multiple other users have reproduced the issue. Here is an initial list of locations:

  • Floyd's apartment (-1157, -1517, 5)
  • Franklin's aunt's house (-13, -1450, 31)
  • Vanilla Unicorn (121, -1305, 30)

To reproduce this behavior, use any script to spawn a ped, vehicle, or prop, and log the returned entity handle. It is occasionally successful, so you may need to run it a few times, but it fails more often than not. The entity will spawn, but the handle returned will be 0. As soon as you terminate menyoo.asi (e.g. using the RPH command Game.TerminateAllScriptsWithName("menyoo.asi"); or using the natives), the problem goes away and spawned entities return proper handles again.

A user of my mod reports a similar issue near the Mission Row PD station.

Another user reported this issue near LSIA, and affecting several other mods as well. They confirmed the issue went away after removing menyoo. Various users noted the issues started appearing after the most recent game update.
