Worker ID Variable not parsing for stats GUI XMRIG

Ive started creating worker ID as the "Pass" using a variable in XMRIG based on the host hardware serial number. The gui seems to recognise the worker ID but doesnt process the stats. When i hard set the pass the worker shows up and the per worker stats show up, im confused..
