Error launching CrashSender.exe

Open ZzzzRyan opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

NanaZip 3.1.1080.0 on Windows 11 23H2 家庭中文版 22631.4169

I used the context menu of Nanazip to decompress the files, and this window popped up when the decompression was complete.

The decompression process seemed to go smoothly, and the extracted files are intact.

How can I fix this problem? Is there something wrong with my system?

CrashSender.exe is not part of NanaZip or Windows. Could you look on your computer to see what program this file belongs to?

Thank you for your reply.

I tried searching for the relevant program on my computer. I checked my Task Manager, and it showed that it belongs to "NanaZip Modern Command Line Interface".

Then I used "Everything" to search for "CrashSender" on my computer, and I only found one file containing it.

C:\Program Files\Tencent\WeType\1.2.5.732\CrashSender1500.exe

It belongs to Tencent's IME: 微信输入法. I'm not sure if this is related, as I don't know much about this area.

If this is an issue with the 微信输入法, I will provide feedback to them.

The same issue, after I installed WeType (微信输入法).

I haven't looked too much into the program's behavior. However, it seems to have its own error handling that runs CrashSender.exe which is blocked by NanaZip's security policy, thus the error message.

I HAVE the SAME issue

If you're using NanaZip 6.0 Preview 1 and up, you can set the DisableMitigations policy to temporarily disable the mitigation system, which will work around this issue if you're using WeType (at the cost of losing our security mitigations).
