What happened?

Greetings, I’ve been working extensively with your tool in a forensic-grade creative lab where stability and modularity are critical. First off, I appreciate the work you’ve done—there’s real potential here, and I want to see it thrive. That said, I’ve run into persistent issues stemming from the hardcoded use of venv as the default environment manager. In multi-tool setups—especially when running alongside FramePack, Wan2GP (has since fixed the issue), and other AI pipelines—venv introduces conflicts that break workflows, corrupt dependencies, and force rebuilds. When I attempt to create a custom environment like sm_venv, the system crashes because it expects a rigid path or structure. This breaks compatibility with modular setups and prevents users from isolating dependencies. I strongly recommend supporting custom-defined Python environments (via conda, pyenv, or manual path mapping). This would allow users to: • Isolate dependencies per tool without collisions • Maintain reproducible environments across machines • Avoid version drift and package overwrite issues • Build resilient systems that don’t collapse under minor updates • Run tools in air-gapped or legacy-preserving setups without cloud reliance For creators like myself—who rely on these tools to produce legacy-grade art and archive outputs—stability isn’t optional. It’s foundational. I’m currently setting up a dedicated Linux system on my Alienware R9 with isolated drives and a single-purpose AI engine just to escape these conflicts. Your tool could be part of that system—if it’s built on solid ground. I’d be happy to share more specifics or test future builds. Thanks for considering this.

Console output

Every package varies, the upgrade was the first crash, and nothing worked. Reinstalled everything. I have been with you for your last 3 releases as it seems to make more sense on a Lora file alone to sharing.

Version

v2.15.0
