Ability to change & save the default layout in the Inference tab

Details

As the Inference tab stands right now, it is possible for the user to customize the layout by being able to drag and move panels. I really like this feature. However, the user's custom layout is not saved between sessions, and it always uses the built-in default layout when creating new tabs.

I would like to be able to save a new default layout that overrides the built-in one, that will persist between sessions and also be used when creating new tabs.

It would be a really nice quality-of-life feature, I'm surprised something like it isn't already implemented. I tried looking around in issues and discussions to see if anyone else requested this, but couldn't find anything. Sorry if it's a duplicate.
