how to remove media and reply tweets
hello i started the script and it deleted all my tweets from the tweet tab but there is still tweets from reply and media tab how do i remove them? Thank you
Hey, There's a known bug that makes the script not delete tweets from a thread that ain't the last tweet. Example:
Tweet from someone 0
Tweet from you 1 Tweet from you 2
Tweet 2 gets deleted but not 1. Do you think that was the case here ? Also what's the date of the tweet
Hey, an update. You can now use the from_archive option described in the description. You just need to set it to 'true' and then drag and drop your Twitter Archive in the box that appears after you run the script. You can download your Twitter Archive directly from Twitter. This will properly delete every tweets/replies
Had to sign up just to comment on this: I went through it twice using my most recent archive (tweets.js from a couple days ago, and haven't tweeted since requesting it) on both false and true, and also set 'old tweets' on true for the second run. Finished deleting, but I still had tweets dating within the last month left over despite the 'before_date' default being set at 2100. Fortunately, it's only a handful that I can manually delete, but I wanted to note here that I had some left over while following the reply/thread fix.
Hi there, Also wanted to chime in that I've tried using the tweets.js with several different options, but my media tab still has different photos and videos from a wide range of years, some of which also have replies that aren't deleted either. I'd be glad to share whatever you need to look into this. Thanks
I used the from_archive option and that deleted my tweets and media, but still not replies. Is there any way to get this to remove all the replies?
