Option to make lychee:sync delete photos from Lychee if they are missing from the filesystem

I'm using 'php artisan lychee:sync' to sync folders into Lychee which works - however the sync only seems to add new photos but does not delete old ones in Lychee (which don't exist in the folder to sync any more). Is there a way to automate that? Unfortunately 'php artisan lychee:sync -h' does not show an option for that. Also there was a project (https://github.com/GustavePate/lycheesync) in the past addressing that, but not sure if that still works (is 7 years old).

I am pretty positive it will not. The reason being that the infra is completely different between the v3 or even older that was available 7 years ago and the current version v4 which was created in 2018 (if I remember correctly).

To my knowledge, there is at the moment no way to maintain a "full synchronization" i.e. if you delete a photo from the monitored folder it will be deleted from Lychee.

So how can i get rid of - lets say old pictures - which are not in the sync'd folder any more: only via manual deletion in Lychee? Or is there ev. any API call available to delete pictures based on date or to delete the entire content of an Album (and resync it again)?

I must say, I would also find this feature very useful.
