Laser & Region Lock Removal?

Any chance this fix can add those two things to the patch? The old community fix still hasn't been updated, so you still have to deal with region-locked pubs and not being able to switch to a laser with M+KB. I was hoping someone would update the old community fix, but it's been half a year now, so that project seems to be dead in the water.

Bump, been almost 2 years but a non-invasive way to enable laser signs for mouse while maintaing steam online play would be great.
