[Feature Request]: MacOS compatibility - I figured it out :P
Feature Summary:
After little troubleshooting I managed to get P3RFix to work perfectly on MacOS! It's just as simple as remembering to add the dsound library to Wine configuration (winecfg) -> Libraries.
Is your proposal related to a problem?
When following the installation instructions, with or without also following steam deck/linux additional instructions, P3RFix does not work by default on MacOS via Crossover/Whisky/GPTK/Wine/whatever.
Describe the solution you'd like
If possible, I think adding an additional section in the README for MacOS users to add dsound to the Wine configuration for the bottle they're installing P3RFix in would be helpful for people! Something like,
- Enter Wine configuration:
- On Crossover, under Control Panels, click on Wine Configuration.
- On Whisky, click on Bottle Configuration and then click on Open Wine Configuration.
- Navigate to the Libraries tab and under "New override for library", enter
dsoundand click on Add. Then click Apply and OK.
The Steam Deck/Linux instructions don't work because on Mac, P3R and Steam themselves are in the actual Wine bottle so any launch options in the steam client wouldn't do anything.
You're the goat. Does this work for SMT5 Vengeance?
