FPS in cutscenes sometimes dipping down again, weird effect on Toudou's glasses, and button prompts wont change to PS4

So honestly the button prompts not working is fine by me cuz there is already a mod that fixes that on nexus and I just wanted to mention it here to let you know it still wasn't changing for me and was fixed on Xbox prompts. The main things I wanted to mention was during cutscenes sometimes fps dips back to 30, and it gets a bit noticeable. its not for too long and its minor but its there its mostly flawless. I will give an example (spoilers btw). After the fight with Katsura Kogoro, the Shinsengumi captains find the traitor among them (I wont say who just for the sake of not spoiling even though I gave a warning) and then someone kills the traitor. In that cutscene in particular for example the fps did dip back to 30 sometimes. This is only one example tho it did happen to other cutscenes too, and then some cutscenes were completely fine. The other important thing to mention is Toudou's glasses. During cutscenes, the lens' of his glasses have this effect on them were there are a lot of black dots splattered all over them. its not covering his eyes but its jus very noticable

So the controller icon issue, does it not work at all for you? Or does it work in some places but not all the time?

As for the framerate issue, Is your FPS counter showing 30 or does it just feel like 30? I'll need to see when I get to that cutscene in particular. It could be the framerate is dropping due to double buffered vsync for example. You could try forcing vsync on for the game in your graphics card control panel and disabling vsync in-game. If not, it may well be an extra piece of code applying a 30fps cap or it may be a pre-rendered FMV sequence perhaps?

Regarding Todo's glasses, I would suspect it's linked to FSR2. Do you have this enabled in the video settings? If so try seeing how his glasses look with FSR disabled.

Hey Lyall! I'm finally getting around to this game and threw your fix in. I was curious if you remember anything about this? (I know it's 2 years ago 😅) The only thing I set to True was the FPS cap removal but cut scenes are still running at 30fps. The counter is showing 30 as well as the "feel". Not using any FSR or DLSS. Vsync is off globally and in the game.

@Haaruu69 I was able to get it working. I think my system was a little too fast and I had to drop down the injection delay value to ~500 and it worked like a charm. I'd try the same on your end to see if it helps!
