Game runs for a bit with ultrawide 3440x1440 set, but image freezes (music keeps playing)
The game isn't freezing, but rendering is with the fix. I've tried disabling everything except the fix that allows ultrawide and that didn't work.
My steam command is MANGOHUD=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" gamemoderun %command% I am using GE-Proton9-13 as this fixes rendering bugs (random black flashes). I'm running with latest rtx 4090 drivers 4.6.0 NVIDIA 560.35.03

I'll attempt in X11 since there are a few games that run better there, although it's not as common nowadays, wayland works a lot better than a few months ago.
Reporting back to confirm it happens in X11 as well (i3) though it does take longer to freeze there, it took a few seconds to completely freeze up rendering vs it being instant before. I tried with proton experimental and same behavior, second time it froze faster than the first. MANGOHUD was on, no sign of any resource issues from the capture before it froze.
From changing settings around it looks like DLSS is the problem, but I found FSR + frame gen acceptable as an alternative, with the 4090 going between around 80 fps to 120 at 3440x1440 ultra settings

That's an odd one. I'm not sure what in FFXVIFix would be causing that.
