At least in Kali, you also net to modify the file `/etc/default/grub.d/kali-themes.cfg` and add `GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub/themes/minegrub/theme.txt"` for the changes to work. I don't know if this happens with any other distros

Should that be done via some sort of script that'd be launched after every boot, or are there any other options?
After i press any boot entry how do i skip the popup and directly go to boot?
