BiDir engine misses volume PGI cache toggle option

Open epileptrolytics opened this issue 8 months ago • 2 comments

.blend file: default cube

Steps to reproduce: Open default cube with LuxCoreRender, assign scattering volume to cube, display volume node. With pathtracing, the volume output node shows a "Use PhotonGI Cache" checkbox. When switching to BiDir engine, this option disappears. This was ok when PGI cache didn't work with BiDir, but later caustic cache was enabled for BiDir and apparently it was overlooked to activate this volume toggle option.

The function is already there, volume cache works within BiDir, only for activation/deactivation currently one has to switch to pathtracing mode to access the option.

I gues it only works with Path engine only (@howetuft, @CodeFHD): https://github.com/odil24/BlendLuxCore/blob/for_v2.10/nodes%2Fvolumes%2Foutput.py#L38

No, that's an outdated comment that should be deleted, in 2020 for v2.6 it was enabled for BiDir also. For materials the option is available, only for volumes it is missing.
