Can you provide way more details please. Which OS, which version, how do you run, what's your configuration etc...

Sure. Windows 11. I have the latest Java installed. Followed the instructions and ran the JAR. It runs but there are no IP details.

I also have the app locally installed and running fine.

Let me know anything else you need or what might cause this. I'm sure I did something wrong but I followed the instructions.

Thanks!

First can you post a screenshot and second, you can first try if your server runs fine locally by using localhost as server host. Then for your network it should be accessible by your local IP (192.168...). If that's all not working, then maybe a firewall is blocking the port or something? Cannot test Windows myself.

Ok here you go. Localhost does not work in the app (opens blank web browser), and you can see what I get from the server -

Same result I'm afraid. Tried my PC's IP too, same result.

Then I need more details. And your should check if any firewall is blocking.

Lurkars avatar May 28 '23 06:05 Lurkars

I only have Windows Firewall and it shouldn't block localhost or port 8080. I wish I knew what to try to what additional info to give you. I'll have to have a think about it and get back to you. Thanks for the help though!
