New fork!
Hello yall!
Since it appears this project has stalled I've started a continuation of the project over at https://github.com/Rushmore75/foss.cooking
- I've gone thru and merged most of the 51 open pull requests here, so it's up to date!
A few changes have been made:
- Switched to Astro from Hugo 🚧
- Recipe & author file schema is now enforced in code 💪
Important things that are the same:
- Authors still write in markdown 🖊️
- Site is still very fast because like Hugo, Astro outputs a static HTML site 🎉
- Obviously, as the name suggests, it's still FOSS 💻
Feel free to open issues for issues or questions over on the new repo. I'll be checking back here periodically as people shift over to check for remaining PRs.
Happy cooking! 🧑🍳

So now there's foss.cooking and publicdomainrecipes.com . and they're basically based.cooking—same vibe, same potential—but they’re also kinda flying under the radar.
Do you think there’s a way to help spread the word and get more people contributing recipes? Would be cool to see them grow and succeed!
I think if there is a future to a fork, then people have to decide on a "main" fork to contribute to... however that may be decided.
Yeah, I'm still looking at PRs that end up here and bringing them into foss.cooking
foss.cooking and publicdomainrecipes.com should merge, and the both domains can be pointing to the merged instance, it would be way more convenient.
