The code for assigning colours can be found here: https://github.com/LukePrior/nbn-upgrade-map/blob/main/site/index.html#L133

If a concensus can be reached on a suitable alternative colour pallet I'll be happy to update it

If I understand the current colour coding correctly, the logic seems to be red is bad, orange is ok, and green is good. Now for people who want to just see a visual representation of bad/ok/good on the map, then the current colour scheme is great, but anyone looking for more detail at a glance will be dissapointed.

For example, I'd like to see what current technology a residance has, and I'd prefer it if FTTN, Fixed wireless and satellite weren't all the same colour, same for HFC and FTTN. This is why in another request I proposed representing both bits of information at once using shapes and colours, instead of just colours for example. A border colour is another idea.

I think something like that, and mabe the ability to turn on and off points could address most peoples needs. Or even two views, a "current" view (i.e. show me what current technology a premises has) and an "available" view or overlay (i.e. show me the best available technology a premises can get).

no im talking about the actual green colours between FTTP and FTTN, before they were easy to tell apart, now they are not

Sorry @jebbusjebbus, I was referring to the logic of the current colour scheme. Wasn't commenting on your proposal.
