Any chance to test some writing to ebus using your integration?

Hi,

this integration is really helpful but I've got struggles troubleshooting any changes to my heating system:

  • HA and ebus-add-in are working great, reading lots of values from my Vaillant heating system (bai, 470, broadcast, scan 08 and scan 15 are showing entities and values).
  • Publishing values on MQTT (using the corresponding Explorer) works also: I may submit values, eg. for "StorageTempDesired"
  • Unfortunately this "change" is not arriving at the heating system itself (or it's getting ignored)
  • Googeling for help about this, often recommends running "ebusctl" from a Linux machine, to check for either writable entities or even sending commands from it to check for changes.

Doing so, it won't work since ebus is not running on that same Linux machine but in HA using this add-in. I know about the chance to use parameters, such as Hostname / Port of another ebus-running machine when using 'ebusctl' but I don't know what details to fill in for this add-in since (I suppose) this is a capsulated container.

  • Is there another add-in available / functionality within your add-in to use ebusctl directly from HA?
  • How did others investigate in a scenario like this? BR Nik
