Doesn't seem to work on any OS based on Nougat or higher

I could get it to work over a separate wifi network, albeit with orders of magnitude more latency than on older phones. Can confirm it wouldn't work at all when tethering for some reason. It's likely some new security feature getting in the way.

I now have access to an Android 7.0 phone, so I'll be able to investigate further once real life obligations get a bit less time-consuming
