Do you have any settings changed and could you try to reproduce it in a sandbox vault?

That's how it looks like for me using ctrl & clicking on a folder note. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b6247490-fbf3-4953-a169-8ec089e8d9ac

I thought it might have been a conflict with another plug-in but disabling all my plug-ins made now difference.

I rolled back to v1.7.35 as a test and it is working fine again.

Interesting to note however that I'm not seeing the same behaviour on another vault so it's not clear to me where the issue is

You can you try to copy the data.json into the other where it doesn't happen and see if it happens then? If so could you upload the file then here?

I found other 2 bugs.

  1. use cmd+click to create a folder note, it will open only one new tab, but repeat the template several times in the new file.
  2. When I set "open folder note" as cmd+click, it works as i dont install the plugin at all: Just collapse the folder or unfold. It‘s interesting that it acted completely differently compared to the last time I configured it this way.

Besides, i have tried to disable each other plugin to find conflicts, but the problem still exsits.

It seems to be a problem with the core templates plugin, it works with templater or no other plugin at all I'll try to fix tmr. What do you mean I didn't really understand " it works as i dont install the plugin at all: Just collapse the folder or unfold."

I mean it will not open the existing folder note, but just collapse or unfold the folder in folder explorer.

Definitely seems to be something happening in data.json....

have attached FYI

I copied data.json, uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled a clear version. Worked fine.

Then I copied the 'old' data.json and it started to do the multiple tabs issue again.

I've got my side all working now but still really interested to hear what is happening.

Cheers

Looks like the file didn't get attached because you sent the message using email and you need to send it directly using github.

here it is :) data.json

Can you try if it for some reason got fixed in the latest version? Otherwise it has to be combination with something else because I tried with a new sandbox vault, copied the file and it still worked fine.
