Hide Folder Note not working in Android/Desktop
I have this issue on my Android device (Pixel 8a / GrapheneOS).
Obsidian 1.8.7 (191) Waypoint 2.1.0 plugin Folder Notes 1.7.35 plugin
Folder Notes > Settings > File Explorer > Hide folder note > Enabled
If I create a Folder Note, it's hidden in the file tree until I close or restart Obsidian. The only way to hide it again is to delete the Folder Note and recreate it. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
I've tried with and without Waypoint installed and the problem persists.
The top-level Folder Note, (Vault root > Machine Shop Notes in the above pic), seems unaffected and it's just the sub-level Folder Notes having this problem.
~~All seems to be working fine in the desktop version of Obsidian.~~
EDIT: I spoke too soon. This issue is affecting both the Android and the Desktop versions. I found this issue from September of last year; Obsidian 1.7.2 - 'Hide folder note' broken when the File Explorer view is not visible on vault (re)load #151. Looks like the bug returned.
All my folder notes are properly hidden except my folders for years for my Daily_Notes. I assume a folder with a pure number 2024 for its name is causing a problem somehow. Does Obsidian interpret it as a number instead of text? I changed the folder name to 2024- with a dash and Folder Notes works now. I also spoke too soon! Upon closing and reopening Obsidian the 2024- folder note was not hidden. I tried various combination of 2024 with different characters but nothing works. Obsidian's documentation says titles are always interpreted as text, so the problem has to be with the Folder Notes plugin itself.
I'm having the same issue. It gets temporarily resolved when unabling and re-enabling the plugin, but the issue returns each time I reboot Obsidian
Should be fixed in the latest beta.
