@grosserfrank What's the plugin version of the folder notes plugin you've installed? It works completely fine for me so could you provide steps to reproduce it in a sandbox vault...
I didn't specifically tried to fix this bug yet but does this work now with the latest plugin release?
So does everything work now or do you still have any problems regarding the feature?
You will also soon be able to hide the collapse icon of empty folders that don't have a folder note.

I'll maybe do this when I've got some time to spare and I've finished the docs.
The latest plugin release now has the option to hide the collapse indicator.
