The foreword should at least mention that you need a PAUSE username to upload to CPAN and to get an @cpan.org e-mail address.

I intentionally left CPAN out of the field. The current material is aimed to help to write and test perl module using git(hub) as facility. The cpan/pause part is very straightforward and is a plus. A good written module not necessary have to go to CPAN: can be related to company stuff, personal one.. If you think that that part is important I'd better add another paragraph/chapter at the end
