Is there a fix for this particular issue? I have been using this for a while now and it just recently occurred to me for the past days.

Same problem here. In a previous thread from last year, someone suggested changing chrome://flags/#web-contents-occlusion as this is related to the playing of background audio/video.

However, I only started using OnTop Replica last week, and it was working. Now not working. I think something has changed in Chrome 86 because that flag no longer exists.

It works fine using Microsoft Edge, which is based on Chrome but is a bit different.

disabling chrome://flags/#calculate-native-win-occlusion fixed it for me

disabling chrome://flags/#calculate-native-win-occlusion worked for me as well for freezing video. But the window still has to be maximized in the background. If I minimize the window, video freezes again.
