Depends on the game. For example in Pokemon you save using the start menu and when you relaunch the game you see the "continue" button automatically

Is there any news on that? The Minecraft vanilla launcher allows that, it's useful for developer to test mods and similar. Having to clone the instance is just plain annoying....
