Describe the Bug
After restart the systray icon is in the taskbar. Clicking on it does nothing. There are no popup options until I restart the Sunshine service. After restarting sunshine the icon works as expected until the next reboot.
Expected Behavior
The icon gives popup options when clicked.
Additional Context
The issue was present on 23h2 and now 24h2. I have noticed it since idk the beginning of 2024 and assumed it would be noticed and fixed but maybe I am the only one.

I guess msft broke something in that version of Windows.
I'm running 24H2 on all my systems and the tray icon works fine on them all, so it must be more than that.

This happens to me every time if I connect to Sunshine right after booting the machine and sign in through the standard windows login. I'm using Sunshine as a service. If I restart Sunshine after logging in and reconnect using Moonlight then the tray is working again until the next time the machine is rebooted. I am running the latest pre-release 2025.212.40608 but this has happened since I really started using Sunshine over the last month or so through various versions.

Could those facing this issue please test the build here: https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine/actions/runs/14744857138?pr=3818#artifacts and report back whether it solves the issue or not?
It is from https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine/pull/3818 which refactors how the system tray runs.
With this build I am not getting a sys tray icon at all after a reboot. Restarting sunshine service restores the icon and it functions as intended. Tried several reboots with the same result. Current Win11 pro 24H2 Os build: 26100.3775
Alright, I think Sunshine is crashing on the first startup attempts. We need the log from those attempts, not from a successful attempt.
The service puts the logs here: %WINDIR%/temp/sunshine.log
Sunshine also does not like if you moved your temp directory to a different drive, so if you did that it's likely the reason for the failures.

I'm able to replicate this behavior actually. No tray icon even though Sunshine is running.
I don't know if this information is helpful but since this is only happening during startup: I do use sysinternal autologin script, and I bootup to a local account and not a Microsoft account. If you still need that log file I can do that after work today.
(Sunshine is in the default directory with no alterations to temp files on my kit in sunshine nor system wide)
