@kallewesterling's doc for application & feedback review

Data to analyse

Spring 2024 participant lists & feedback results

Note about Spring: we forgot (!!!) to take attendance, so I don't have a complete list of who attended vs who was accepted.

Summer applications application form

Summer feedback maps

newspapers

Autumn applications

Autumn registrations

Autumn feedback maps

newspapers

Spatial Humanities applications

feedback

Things to analyse:

  • what kind of people applied?
  • what kind of people attended?
  • what feedback questions can we compare across spring/summer/autumn? I think we made some minimal changes between spring and summer, but after they should be the same (except the extra questions at the end of the summer workshop for Dave & co re: RSE network)

@kallewesterling let's talk about planning to do this/when/how

Nov 27 meeting

  • For March meeting, we want to have a roadmap that we can get feedback on.

End result:

  1. Report all the workshops (to AHRC) [we don't know what that report will look like]
    • very basic statistics
    • key quotes
    • general profile of people who applied + attended [good to show that we accepted the "correct" people]
    • Kalle will work on this
  2. Using the data in "the MapReader chapter" = tell the story about the workshop through statistics + quotes
  3. Roadmap
    • what can we learn from stats + feedback to inform the roadmap?
    • [needs progress on roadmap for us to know what evidence we need to justify certain propositions]

Action points:

  • [ ] get data out of forms, and into a spreadsheet = top level review
  • [ ] qualitative statements
  • [ ] Kalle + Katie will have a walkthrough of the document
  • [ ] Kalle to do a rough draft of what a roadmap would look like, in their mind

I have plopped some early graphs into the Word document that I've made manually in Figma. I think we need to think about what it is that we need to know from the responses... so start with modelling what we want the resulting report/output to be..
