Hotkeys will freeze when connected to OBS while recording/streaming

What happens is at some point while recording, the split hotkey will stop functioning. When I unbind and rebind the split hotkey, it will work, but only once. This is the same with every hotkey. So it's basically like every hotkey becomes single-use after they become "frozen" and I have to unbind and rebind every time I want to use them. In my first run, the hotkeys froze 1.5 hours into the recording; in my second run they didn't freeze; and in my third run they froze half an hour into the run. (These 3 runs were on separate days) I was thinking it might have happened because my laptop was under stress, but it didn't resolve after I closed apps on my laptop. I'll try recording at a lower resolution so that there's less stress on my laptop and see if that affects it. (I'm on macbook os 14)
