Multiple Issues with Xbox One controllers on Windows 10
over 5 years later and the issue is still there with the global hotkeys. I bought a new controller since my Xbox 360 one broke and now I have to deal with that issue.
@overdev93 Try disabling "Allow Gamepads as Hotkeys" in the settings.

doesn't work. I guess I have to use a program to map keyboard keys to the controller, another program I have to launch before starting a speedrun.
@overdev93 What exactly is the issue you're running into? Global hotkeys aren't working when your Xbox One controller is plugged in?

global hotkeys from the Xbox One controller isn't working, every other device works with global hotkeys. if the program is focused the hotkeys from the gamepad is working but thats quiet useless in a speedrun.
Ah okay, so you could just use global hotkeys on your keyboard instead?

well yes but it's really annoying that way cause I need to do something immediately after the split with the controller. I just use a program to map keyboard keys to my controller to be able to split.
