Description

Discuss different ways to store media data for a blockchain appllication, and their advantages and disadvantages, maybe as advanced explanation and/or as dev guide

Motivation

Please describe why it is required.

Additional information

You don't put any data in a block, a block consists of a blockheader, and a payload (transactions) you can put any data you like in a transaction (as long as it fits inside a block) I wouldn't recommend putting images onchain it could grow storage usage really fast @lemii made a plugin to make ipfs work with lisk I don't know the details but I think it is certainly a better storage solution for files https://www.npmjs.com/package/@lemii/lisk-ipfs-plugin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owNdDQ3q0hw this video is also talking about blocksize clear for me. 10-30kb is enough for my current purposes. possible overloading? higher block size means higher transfer time, which means you need to wait longer for the blocks to propagate through the network Lisk said they tested up to 100kb per block without issue, so I guess it's safe to go up there
