Using the add_media shortcut won't add media

Using: Version ⁨2.1.54 (b6a7760c)⁩ Python 3.9.10 Qt 6.3.1 PyQt 6.3.1

Use the designated shortcut for add media (default is f3) in any editing field, choose a file (an image, say), and it won't add the chosen file to the card. Tried using different custom shortcuts, and tried using different forms of media.

Clicking on the icon in the menubar does seem to work, however, suggesting that it is this add-on that is causing the issues (also isolated it down to this add-on).
