Describe your feature request!

I've been using rnote so far but it has a few limitations and is written in gtk4 which uhhh let's just say is not my favourite

I'd like to migrate the notes I wrote in rnote to butterfly

I might try my hand at it in ~2-3 weeks, if anyone else wants to before that time feel free

Additional context

all the rnote file format code is stored in here

Yeah feel free to contribute here. If you need some tips where to start, here is a small guide: https://github.com/LinwoodDev/Butterfly/issues/314#issuecomment-1572200682 (I will put it in the documentation in the future).

I'm currently just thinking about having too many import types?

Maybe we can put it into one line somehow?

I don't see that list growing as a huge issue

one way to fix that would be to group some buttons - xournal++, rnote, saber and others under a Other note formats button, maybe group image and camera and let the user decide which one they want (a lot of android apps do that, e.g. signal) and so on

Yeah or we could put all Under "Files" so we have: Camera, SVG Text and Files and we get the asset type by the specified mimetype/file extension
