Mount and unmount usb devices with Thunar as user

I have the debian xfce4 chroot running but can not mount and unmount usb drives with thunar.

The following things work:

  • If i mount the drive as root from inside the chroot to /media/ thunar correctly shows it
  • After adding my user to the external storage group the user also has full permission to use that mountpoint in thunar
  • Thunar shows the eject icon, but it does not work as user "must be superuser to unmount"
    • clicking the eject icon as root: Works, but shows error message Failed to eject "hdd". I think this is fine because android is still using that drive

What i want to achieve:

  • See usb drives in Thunars device section
  • Be able to click on a drive -> it mounts
  • Being able to unmount as user

I think it is related to missing udev support in chroot, but have no idea actually.
