Feature Request : snap package for Linux
Hi, this is not a bug report but just a feature request.
Can you build a LibreCAD snap package for Linux so that it can be easily updated using the snap refresh command ?
Thanks for this great software by the way :+1:
SebM.
Anyone would like to help with snap?
My ubuntu server was more than 10 year old and stopped working a while ago.
I'd be happy to help, although I can't guarantee I'd be able to bring it to completion.
Regarding the last comment, I believe you can build a snap on pretty much any distro that has the snapcraft package. I'd need to double-check, but as far as I remember, you don't need to use Ubuntu to build snaps. Which distro are you on?
I am running archlinux and Gentoo.
Looks like there's snaps for Gentoo, and an AUR snapcraft package.
Help is still appreciated, since I don't have much experience here.
@dxli Thanks a lot 👍 Do you have any clue so as to when LibreCAD/QT5 will be available as a SNAP ?
@sebma
Snap has been added to the GitHub release candidate for 2.2.1
@dxli Great, thank you :+1: I was taking about the store, actually :
$ snap find librecad
No matching snaps for "librecad"
