Thanks for this contribution! I feel this proposal should be optional, as some users might prefer the "light" version. Maybe we could add a small "toggle night mode" button that enables your proposed css?

I "feared", this discussion might come up ;-) Talking bluntly, I don't think a significant amount of people will prefer light over dark (especially considering the context of a party, which is usually not brightly lit). Current UI trends also tend to use dark color schemes (pretty much all music streaming services, apart from apple, do). And in my humble opinion, it looks more professional, too.

Again, I don't really see the benefit (for example, even though I strongly prefer the dark scheme, I would rather cope with a blindingly bright (:P) one instead of hunting for a toggle). Also, there isn't really a space to put it; the only place I can think of is below the search results, and then it won't get noticed by anyone.
