App messes with a bunch of other settings by default

There's no indication that any other settings will be changed, for example, if you just change folder views or columns and press submit, without opening Options. Even if you open those options, they don't reflect whichever of those options may already be set in one way or another in the system already, and don't respect those options as already set by user. Even just going thru it and having to guess which option and which state of it was the default and which options are being tweaked, is quite annoying. I'd rather if this app just changed the folder views it was prompted to change, without pushing a bunch of random opinionated tweaks along with it, without even saying that it will do so, nor showing what is it actually doing in the process.
