[Feature Request] save settings from network scanner

Open slydlake opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

It would be nice when the settings of my same scanner would be stored, so that I have my favorite setting (300dpi and file format PDF). For now the dpi is always reset to 75dpi and the file format to JPEG, when I come back to the scanner menu.

Also I have the feeling that the "Start Scan" Button is a bit too limited in the size. I have often push it 3 times, because it seems that my finger is a bit to high. I have the feeling that not the button interface starts the scan, but only when I press on the text. I hope you understand what I mean 😂

This has already been requested and I'll definitely implement this at some point, it's something that annoys even me. For now, the focus is on finishing the 1.9.0 release and implementing the new features introduced with Paperless-ngx 2.0, but after that I'll take some time for this.

@LeoKlaus, hello. I faced a similar problem when I was going to scan a large volume of documents - the settings are not saved + the "Start scan!" button is pressed from the second or third time.

You have a great app, but the scanning issue really lengthens the process. No word yet on when the behaviour will be fixed?
