Is your proposal related to a problem?
Many Lemmy users have been complaining about seeing too much content related to Reddit lately. This can be frustrating for those who want to focus on other topics and discussions within the platform. Having the ability to hide posts containing specific strings or tags and blocking certain domains, could be useful for users who want to customize their experience on Lemmy.
Describe the solution you'd like.
I propose adding a filter feature to Lemmy that allows users to hide any post containing a specific string, such as "Reddit", or block specific tags, hiding any post containing those tags from their feed. This filter could be extended to block specific domains, providing users with even more control over the content they see on the platform.
Describe alternatives you've considered.
Don't know.
