It works with Ubuntu Server 18.04.1 server image without persistent storage. But with persistent storage fails with: ... overlayfs: unrecognized mount option "lowerdir=" or missg value ... mounting /cow on...

I've just tried the desktop image and the try option doesn't work with persistent storage. I can't see what the error message is. Any idea how to fix it?

Yes I agree there should be an notification. Probably in the notification bar and then flagged in the the queue.

What about using Prestissimo (https://github.com/TheRealFalcon/Prestissimo). This appears to free and open source. It claims to be a replacement to presto (which is paid).
