Safely disabling ClamAV

Hi all,

We had an issue recently where we suspect a ClamAV database update caused the server to become unresponsive.

It was installed as part of the Learning Locker manual install so does anyone know how it can safely be disabled? Can I just switch off the services or uninstall clamav or are there changes I need to make in Learning Locker itself as well now it's been activated?
