Is git-it more confusing than useful?

Virtually everyone I've referred to the Git it tutorial has ceased to return to a meetup, so I've gotten zero feedback as to whether it's actually useful or so confusing that they've given up all together. In any case, some it'd be nice to hear from the community if they've tried using Git it and found it useful or not.
