FEATURE REQUEST: Add option for half width baseplate
I see there is a way to make half width bins, but being able to add half width baseplate on the edges would be wonderful. I have used online tools such as Gridfinity Generator (gridfinity.perplexinglabs.com) that allow adding 'Half-width on edge', which adds a Half width grid in the margins if enough room allows.
this seems like it would fit better into a new flow for baseplate. I believe similar things also exist in other generator, the idea is that the flow starts with the size of the area you want to fill and then the script would decide how much margin is needed and optionally attempt to fit half size grid there
Would be a nice option. As a workaround you can create the half width baseplate separately and combine that body with the full width base plate that you have. you have to fit a small margin (0.5mm) to one of the plates to get a perfect fit.

Can you explain how to make half size bin at the edge? been struggling to find the setting and had to use an online generator in the end. I'm newish to Fusion which does not help. TIA
Too be honest I do not completely remember. I created the full and half width objects separately. Then I used the align command to place the half width grid against the full width. I noticed that it did not fit perfectly. So I moved the the half width part 0.5 mm (i assume toward the full bin). You can create a bin and turn on the contact detection in fusion360, then placed the bin over the grid to see if it fits perfectly.
