[BUG] Fail to add some widgets

Open huangyxi opened this issue 10 months ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug

Some widgets cannot be added to the home screen. Most of them are configurable widgets that offer multiple options (such as Analog from Google Clock or Gmail from Gmail), but not all. For example, 1x1 configurable widgets like Gmail label from Gmail or Contact from Google Contacts can be added to the home screen. For large widgets from the same app, the configurable widget Routines from Google cannot be added to the home screen, but Google can.

I have tried the workaround of unsetting and resetting the default launcher mentioned in issue #2820, but it didn't resolve the problem.

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Hold and move a widget to the home screen (e.g. Analog from Google Clock, Routines from Google)
  2. No widget has actually been added

Expected behavior

The selected widget should appear in the home screen.

I can reproduce this on a Samsung A45. I haven't tried every widget available to me, but like OP says, it seems the one that are configurable crash the launcher. The others I can add without issue.
