Dropbox API POST error 409 (Conflict)

Using the app in Chrome browser, syncing with Dropbox. The app and syncing seem to both be working properly. I opened the javascript console in Chrome Developer Tools and there is an error message that repeats every few seconds while editing a note:

start spin
POST https://api.dropboxapi.com/2/files/list_folder 409 (Conflict)  Dropbox-sdk.min.js:8
stop spin
interval is 15000

Seems this should be looked into? Should not be failing this often. The error stops appearing once you save the note or cancel editing.

Can you look under your dropbox/apps/laverna directory to see if you have any conflicting files there? It sounds like there are multiple versions of a file present.

I'm thinking about phasing dropbox api support out in favor of using a configurable dropbox directory. I think it might solve at least some of the issues.

There aren't any files that say there's a conflict - there's a .dropbox file and a json file in \notes-db\notes\
