The file manager has strange charterers on Linux

Whenever I do any action that opens the file explorer the windows is like this:

I am running Arch Linux with Gnome 3 (updated today) Laverna version: Beta v0.7.4-RC1 ** nodejs version:** v8.4.0

It's looks like a Nautilus issue @masterkorp

Maybe https://www.archlinux.de/packages?architecture=&search=freetype2 is not installed ...

Thank you for your reply @funilrys , but freetype2 is indeed installed:

-> % pacman -Qs freetype2
local/freetype2 2.8-2
    Font rasterization library
local/lib32-freetype2 2.8-2
    TrueType font rendering library (32-bit)

This is the only app that causes this behauviour, including other other electron apps like insomnia, the file selection popups work like they should be.

Do you have any more suggestions?

Okay @wwebfor after fresh installation I can reproduce that issue ... As the maintainer of the Arch Linux package, I'm very concerned about this ... Did we miss something?

It's an electron.js issue. https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/9616

seems fixed in electron 1.6.x.

Had the same issue in 2.7 with linux ubuntu 17.10 Installed version 3.2 fixed the issue

Same issue with Ubuntu 19.04. Fresh install. Laverna v0.35.2
