[Bug]: Unable to Delete Mod (File Does Not Exist/Overwritten File)
BG3 Mod Manager Version
1.0.9.1
BG3 Game Version
Full Release Hotfix 2
Bug Summary
In the course of testing a mod, I constantly overwrite the .zip containing the .pak file
This seems to break the entry in Mod Manager infrequently- it cannot be deleted, and when trying to go to the file location, it says it does not exist.
This also happens when you delete the file via Windows Explorer, but that makes more sense.
The only solution is to reimport the mod so that the program 'catches' it again, then it can be removed

The mod manager only loads .pak files specifically, not .zip files. zip files can be "imported", but all this does is extract it to memory and look for a .pak file to copy into the mods folder. So I'm confused about what you're deleting here, and what this has to do with what's visible in the mod manager.
That aside, if you're deleting mods externally, you can just click the refresh button to get the mod manager to scan for mods again.
Im having the same problem. Ive deleted this mods from my mod folder and they are still showing up, even afther used the resfresh shorcut. Afther placing all .pak on my mods folder, they dont show up correctly on the mod manager, delete mod is gray out and trying to open in File Explorer results in "Error opening :File does not exist", after a refresh ofc.
To fix it ive imported all the broken ones again with File>Import Mod. Just a heads up to anyone facing the same issue
@Loseriana Thanks for the fix. Were any of your broken mods in overrides? Sadly reimporting doesn't seem to work for me.
@LaughingLeader Is there a specific file that BG3ModManager is reading from to get the list of active/inactive mods? I've cleared the mods folder, mod settings and reinstalled BG3ModManager, but wasn't able to remove the broken mod. Having it simply exist in the modlist seems to stop other mods from working.
I didnt give a follow up to this bug, sorry. What happen was even after my "fix", they dindt work at all. So i just nuked everything and redownload everything. And when i say "nuked" i mean that for real, mods, game and Larian Studios folder, the one with your saves and mod folder in it.
Damn that's drastic lol. Were you able to reload your saves after reinstalling?
Yep, after reinstalling all mods. Just export you mod list before doing that. It was also in time for a "mod list cleaning".
Thanks a lot, I'll try that.
AND BACKUP YOUR SAVE, pls.

Mods are read from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods (.pak files only), and the "Current" order is ready from %LOCALAPPDATA%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\PlayerProfiles\Public\modsettings.lsx.
So probaly deleting "modsettings.lsx" would had fix it. Good to know if it happens again.
Thanks @LaughingLeader for the clarification.
In the middle of a reinstall I realized the broken mod I'd thought to have deleted was inside this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data
For anyone else having the same issue, please don't be an idiot like me and first check if the mod is misplaced in a folder other than AppData lol.

None of this is helpful to me. :( I don't know what the broken ones are, so I don't know what to "import". I can't find anything resembling these mods in any other folders in order to even try importing.
2 "file does not exist" issues, named: DiceSet_06 Honour
I'm trying to get in contact with the author that I think has to do with the "Honour" file, but I'm not sure if they can assist.
I've tried deleting my modsettings.lsx file and I've searched Data folders and Mod folders for anything containing "hon" or "dice". I'm at a loss here.

I found the diceset_06 file in my main bg3 data file I am still searching for the honour file myself
@LaughingLeader I think I found out what is happening to @NeuroticPixels's and myself. I see you have a ignoremods file in the bg3mm folder so I believe these 2 files are files added by Larion after the honour mode was released. I might be wrong but that is my best guess because I was looking around both in my bg3mm file and bg3 data file. I still don't know where the honour file is located but where ever the adventure and balanced files are located is the honour file as well I believe

Just as a note regarding the idea of deleting these locations to fix it, it doesn't. This is with having deleted both the entire Mods folder and modsettings.lsx.
I have been testing dice mods, so it is sane for there to be a "dice pack" in there, but I don't know what would be lingering. I wouldn't be surprised if Honour wasn't the tag used to disable achievements when you mod, tbh. Even if I am right about that, I would very much like to know what the heck is up with the dice pack.

That's because it is not. As I stated in my post I suspect those are files from Larian Studios update. When they added the honour mode to BG3 they also added a new dice set and I suspect LaughingLeade's mod manager doesn't ignore those files so they show up as mods but are actually vanilla files in BG3 main Data file

I can confirm as of today that you are correct.
These two files DiceSet_06 and Honour are removed from BG3ModManager if you delete all the .pak files in the data folder.
Additionally, once you verify game integrity in Steam these two are downloaded again and appear in the ModManager.
